Watermelon Mint Limeade
Ingredients:
4 cups watermelon, cubed and seeded
1/4 cup fresh mint leaves
4-5 fresh limes, juiced (about 1/2 cup of juice)
1/4 cup honey or agave syrup (adjust to taste)
2 cups cold water
Ice cubes
Mint sprigs and lime slices for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
Blend the Watermelon: Place the watermelon cubes in a blender and blend until smooth. Strain the juice through a fine mesh sieve into a pitcher to remove any pulp, if desired.
Muddle the Mint: In a small bowl, muddle the fresh mint leaves with a spoon to release their flavor. Add the muddled mint to the watermelon juice in the pitcher.
Juice the Limes: Roll the limes on the counter to soften them, then cut in half and squeeze out the juice. Pour the fresh lime juice into the watermelon mixture and stir well.
Sweeten: Add honey or agave syrup to the mixture, stirring until fully dissolved. Taste and adjust the sweetness if needed.
Dilute and Chill: Pour in the cold water and stir to combine. Add ice cubes to the pitcher to chill the limeade.
Serve: Pour the Watermelon Mint Limeade into glasses over ice. Garnish with mint sprigs and lime slices if desired.
Enjoy: Sip and savor the refreshing flavors of summer!
